Call for Papers

Submit a proposal to become a speaker



The call for papers process is an important step in our research and the development of our agenda.  Thank you for your interest and submission.

The Mobile Asia Expo conference programme will provide essential insights on current and future trends impacting the ever-changing mobile industry. Further, it will highlight the creativity and innovation of companies throughout Asia, as well as around the world.

Below are the areas on which we’ll focus in 2012.  Submissions are not limited to this list and we have provided an opportunity for submitting companies to suggest their own topics for inclusion.

  • Mobile Advertising:  Advertising and marketing strategy in Asian markets, particularly cross-channel marketing, social media, and how to address feature-phone as well as smartphone users.
  • Mobile Applications:  Looking at the drivers and challenges for the Asian mobile applications market, with particular consideration given to localisation, app discovery, and pricing and payment options.
  • Mobile Broadband: Meeting capacity demand with backhaul, offload, price/service, 3G and 4G network strategies.
  • Mobile Cloud:  How to successfully monetise mobile cloud services with an emphasis on mobile cloud services and content delivery models in the enterprise and consumer markets.
  • Devices:  More variety in connected devices, more interactivity between them over multiple access networks: what does it mean and where will it lead?
  • Embedded Mobile:  Latest developments and innovations in embedded mobile, with a focus on the consumer electronics, automotive and utilities sectors.
  • Mobile Health:  How does mobile currently fit into the healthcare delivery model in Asia and what will be its role in the future?  Focusing on mobile as a gateway to new access, usage and funding models for health.
  • Mobile Money - MMU: The role of mobile network operators, financial institutions and payment providers in bringing mobile money services to under-banked and unbanked customers – opportunities and challenges.
  • Mobile Money – mPayments:  Latest developments and innovations in mobile payments, as well as the critical success factors for developing successful mobile payment strategies and services.
  • Network Evolution:  Evolution or revolution?  Making the transition towards 4G, HetNet, smart networks and all-IP.
  • Near-Field Communications (NFC):  How can the mobile ecosystem facilitate the widespread adoption of NFC services? Focusing on current NFC services and the expectations for future NFC services and application areas.
  • Network Operations:  Business and technical enablers to support complex networks in a period of drastic change.
  • Operator Strategies for Growth: Operators will discuss the key strategic topics for 2012-13 and how they are preparing for the challenges of an ever-changing industry.  Topics covered will include partnerships, outsourcing, collaboration, ecosystems and emerging business models.
  • Retail:  Online and offline mobile retail strategies across mature and developing Asian markets. What are the challenges and opportunities for the mobile industry? 
  • Social Connectivity/Social Media:  Social media trends across Asian markets and the role of mobile in incorporating voice, video and gaming into the social network.

Again, this list is not exhaustive, and we encourage companies to suggest topics which may not be featured here.
